Allison Aucott has been acting since she was in primary school. Her inaugural performance was in a school production as Nancy in Oliver at the age of 12. Later, she formalised her training with an ALCM Performers Diploma that she studied with Mary Curtin.  Subsequently she completed a Master's in Drama & Theatre Studies from University College Cork.  She has been working for the last 7 years on an ongoing basis with acting coach Tom Kibbe using his Modern Realism techniques developed from his years of work with Sanford Meisner.  She also completed a 6 month part time course at Bow Street, Dublin in Acting for Screen. 

 

Allison also has 20 years experience as a police officer. This has given her a unique insight into the lives of others and frontline experience of people at their best and worst, all of which provides rich material for character development. 

 

Allison is also a writer and a producer. She recently completed a certificate in Writing TV drama and is working on a pilot for a comedy TV series.
